Known for their propulsive brand of indie-flavoured post-punk, FEWS are following up last year's sophomore LP Into Red with a fresh EP. Due for release via the band's brilliantly named new label Hello Dog, 'Heaven' is the first biting taste from their 4 track offering simply titled DOG. Triggered by an assured snare hit, 'Heaven' begins all guns blazing, layering guitars to create a thick wall of overdriven noise. A pounding krautrock beat provides a powerful backbone as a rampant bass line keeps the low end in check. The accompanying video comes with a strobe warning and they're not exaggerating. Delivering a blistering live rendition of the tune, relentless flashes of harsh white light enhance the intensity of the music making for a memorable if not slightly nauseating watch. -Holly Mullineaux
